Hyderabad: A B.Tech student died after a speeding private travels bus hit him while traveling along with his friend at the ever-busy Panjagutta road on Friday. The accident occurred when they were going on a two-wheeler.
Death was instant for the student identified as Lokesh, 20, while his friend escaped with injuries. The police rushed the injured student to a private hospital. Fearing that the irate passers-by and other motorists would bash him up for the accident, the bus driver escaped from the spot.
As the bus was stopped on the main road, traffic movement was disrupted for a while. The police registered a case against the bus driver under relevant provisions of BNS and took up investigation. With the help of the bus registration number, the police are trying to trace the driver to take action against him.
