Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court allowed a request by the advocates community to postpone the regular functioning of district courts and other courts working under the district courts, after completion of the summer vacation. Now, the district courts and other courts will function full time from June 10.
However, the High Court will function as usual from June 3.
Under the direction of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe of the Telangana High Court, Registrar General Tirumala Devi issued a notification directing all the court unit heads in the state, except the High Court, to reschedule the case list between June 3 and 7 from June 10.
The Registrar General directed all the court unit heads to take up urgent matters this week.
The summer vacation is to end on June 2 and the courts were to reopen from June 3. In view of the intense summer heat, advocates from various districts requested an extension of vacation. The High Court acceded their request.
