Swindler with over 744 non-bailable warrants against him arrested in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: All India director of Sahara India Credit Co-operative society, who reportedly collected crores of rupees as deposits from people across states, has been arrested by sleuths of the Central Crime Station (CCS) and handed over to Saifabad police.

The accused Ravipati Ramakoteswara Rao is accused of collecting deposits worth crores.

It is reported that Rao has over 744 non-bailable arrest warrants against him in different states. He has been evading arrest for several years now, police sources said.

Bus runs over 60-year-old pedestrian

HYDERABAD: An unidentified man was run over by a private bus on the Quthbullapur-Suchitra road in Pet Basheerabad police station limits at 9.10 pm on Saturday.

According to Pet Basheerabad CI Vijayawardhan, the body remains unidentified. The driver has been taken into police custody.

The incident occurred when the man, aged around 60 years, was crossing the road. He died on the spot.
