Take up CSR work responsibly: Tummala
Hyderabad: Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao lauded the services of NGO Ek Kaam Desh Ke Naam (EKDKN) for undertaking social work even during the Covid-19 pandemic. He emphasised the need for corporate social responsibility (CSR) to focus on education and health.
He was speaking at the 16th Exceed Green Future Award and Conference conducted on the theme of “Integrating ESG and CSR – Maximising Business Value and Impact” in Hyderabad on Friday.
The minister said, “I appreciate Rajiv Babbar, president of EKDKN and his organisation for undertaking such an impactful work. The CSR funds provided by the companies should reach the marginalised and the needy. Everyone should responsibly use the amount earmarked for social service. Those who have received help will come forward in future to help more people.”
Rajiv Babbar recounted the journey of his organisation. Minister Nageswara Rao later distributed awards to the winning units and companies that won CSR in different categories. Y. Guruswamy Naidu, founder and CMD of Celkon Group, was the guest of honour at the event.
