Technical Glitch Interrupts Conduct of TET
Hyderabad: A technical glitch caused a major delay in the conduct of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) at Vardhaman College, Shamshabad. The exam, scheduled to conclude at 4.30 pm, remained incomplete even at 6.30 pm.
Those who accompanied the candidates, waited for hours outside the exam centre, some even had small children with them. Frustrated by the delay, they staged a protest.
M. Badri, who travelled from Khammam with his wife and one-year-old child, said, “We came a long way for this exam, which was supposed to be held from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. My wife hasn’t come out even after 6.30 pm. We have to travel back a long distance, and now we may miss the bus where we had reserved seats." Buses running full during for the Sankranti was another worry.
“The exam was interrupted for over an hour due to server issues. This is such an important exam, and these kinds of problems are unacceptable. When we asked the management for an explanation, they didn’t respond, so we had no choice but to protest,” said Riyaaz Khan.
Officials stated that the online test of 155 candidates was halted in the middle due to technical reasons. The test was resumed after resolving the problem and completed successfully.
