Telangana: 19-Yr-Old Thief Nabbed, Gold Seized
Khammam: Khammam Town-II police caught a 19-year-old thief, Gugulothu Naveen, from Ramparthi Nagar in the city. Authorities seized 290 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 16.8 lakh and 1.5 kg of silver valued at Rs 1.2 lakh from his possession.
Naveen, a resident of Nallgundi Thanda in Nellikuduru mandal, Mahbubabad district, was identified as the suspect involved in multiple property offenses. Assistant commissioner of police Ramana Murthy announced the arrest at a press meet in Khammam.
During the investigation, police found the gold and silver ornaments in Naveen's bag while he was moving suspiciously in Ramparthi Nagar. Further inquiry revealed that Naveen had confessed to committing property offenses in both Medchal and Khammam districts.
Naveen is recognised as a habitual property offender, having committed thefts in Mahbubabad and Hyderabad since 2016. His repeated offenses led to his eventual arrest by the police authorities aiming to curb ongoing criminal activities in the region.
