Telangana Agri Polytechnic Student Dies by Suicide

Nizamabad: A 17-year-old student of Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural Polytechnic College in Akbarnagar, Rudrur mandal, tragically died by suicide on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as Lingawad Rakshita from Hasnapur village in Utnoor mandal of Adilabad district, was a first-year student at the college.

Fellow students discovered the body and alerted college authorities. Upon receiving the distressing news, police arrived at the scene and transported the body to the Government Hospital in Bodhan for a post-mortem examination.The reasons behind Rakshita’s tragic decision remain unclear, and authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The parents of Lingawad Rakshita have expressed anger towards the college authorities for shifting their daughter’s body for a post-mortem examination before their arrival.The grieving parents staged a protest at the college, demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Rakshita's death. Police intervened to calm the situation and assure the parents that a comprehensive inquiry would be conducted.

Meanwhile, other students revealed that Rakshita had joined the agriculture polytechnic college just four days prior and had not interacted with anyone during her short time there. They also noted that she had been eating less than usual. On Saturday, Rakshita reportedly went to the bathroom and did not return. When fellow students became concerned, they broke down the door and discovered her lifeless body hanging from the wall grill.
