Hyderabad: Telangana government plans to provide internet connection to households at Rs 300 per month. In a phased manner, the state government will provide internet connection to lakhs of houses in the state.
With this connection, people get virtual network with telephone and several OTT channels. In the first phase, it will be implemented in 2,096 gram panchayats in Narayanpet, Sanga Reddy, Peddapalli districts.
The Centre has allotted Rs 2,500 crore to the state government under BharatNet programme. Under this programme every house will get internet connection in villages.
