Telangana: Aspirants Fault Low Group-2 Turnout Due to Delays
Hyderabad: A delay in conducting the Group-2 examinations negatively impacted their preparation and motivation, students said. At the Arts and Social Sciences centre, only 214 out of 504 students attended the morning session and 212 in the afternoon, totalling a 40 per cent turnout.
Deeksha, a candidate, stated, “The constant rescheduling disrupted study plans and led many to lose motivation.” Another student added, “A lot of my friends didn't show up for the exam because they had moved on with their lives due to the prolonged delay.”
University officials confirmed that strict measures were in place to prevent malpractice, and adequate facilities such as drinking water and sanitation were provided. Additionally, exam centres accommodated disabled candidates with wheelchair facilities.
A senior management official from the University College of Engineering Osmania University commented, “Only 40 per cent of the students have appeared for the exams out of the registered 432 students.”
At the Osmania University centre, concerns raised by students included the difficulty of the question papers and inconvenient exam centre allocations.
Venkatesh remarked, “Compared to Group 4 and 3, this paper was a bit tougher,” while Navneetha expressed worries that the absence of negative marking could disadvantage well-prepared students.
