Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will address a public meeting in Narayanpet on February 21 after launching development programmes. A key highlight of his visit is the inauguration of a 100 per cent women-run petrol bunk, established by the Narayanpet Zilla Mahila Samakhya, a collective of women self-help groups (SHGs).

The CM will also lay the foundation stone for a Mahila Samakhya building and inaugurate a 100-bed maternal and child health (MCH) wing and a nursing college at the Government Medical College in Appakpally. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stones for multiple development projects aimed at improving Narayanpet district’s infrastructure and healthcare services.

Following the inauguration, Revanth Reddy will address a public meeting at the grounds near the medical college, outlining the Congress government’s plans for the district and the state. Extensive preparations are underway, with local leaders, ministers, and Congress MLAs from the undivided Mahbubnagar district coordinating efforts to ensure the event’s success.

The CM’s public meeting is expected to serve as a platform for rallying party support ahead of the upcoming local body elections. Party circles say that the meeting will not only highlight the government’s development agenda but also mark the beginning of preparations for the local body elections, as the CM is expected to exhort party leaders and workers for the electoral contest.
