Telangana Coldwave: Asifabad Records 6.5°C

Hyderabad: The state is witnessing a significant drop in night time temperatures. According to Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) data, the cold wave has gripped several parts of the State, marking a sharp decrease in mercury levels.

Kumuram Bheem Asifabad registered 6.5°C, followed by Sangareddy at 6.9°C and Adilabad at 7.1°C. Other districts Vikarabad (7.3°C), Rangareddy (7.5°C), Kamareddy (8°C), Nirmal (8.5°C), Mahabubnagar and Rajanna Sircilla (both at 9°C), Medak (9.1°C), Medchal Malkajgiri (9.6°C), Siddipet (9.7°C), Jayashankar Bhupalpally (9.9°C), and Narayanpet and Jagtial (10°C).

Districts recording temperatures above 10°C include Nagarkurnool (10.3°C), Nizamabad (10.6°C), Mancherial (10.7°C), and Mulugu, Nalgonda, and Yadadri Bhongir (all at 10.8°C). Karimnagar saw a minimum of 10.9°C, followed by Warangal (11.1°C), Jangaon (11.3°C), Mahabubabad (11.4°C), Peddapalli (11.5°C), and Bhadradri Kothagudem (11.8°C).

Hyderabad recorded a minimum temperature of 12.1°C. Other areas included Hanamkonda (12.2°C), Suryapet (12.3°C), Jogulamba Gadwal (12.4°C), Wanaparthy (12.9°C), and Khammam, which recorded the highest minimum temperature in the state at 13.2°C.
