Telangana Congress leaders pull out all stops to woo Telugu voters in Maha

Many Telugu families from Karimnagar, Adilabad, and Warangal are settled in the coal belt areas of Chandrapur district. Senior leaders of the party have been campaigning in Chandrapur district for the last 10 days

ADILABAD: Congress leaders from Telangana are going out of their way to woo Telugu voters settled in Chandrapur and Yavatmal districts in Maharashtra to vote for the Grand Old Party in the Maharashtra Assembly elections on November 20.

Most of the Telugu people migrated from Karimnagar, Warangal, and Adilabad districts are settled in the coal belts of Rajura, Guggus, and Ballarpur in Chandrapur district.

Congress candidate Jithender Shivajirao Moge, contesting from the Arni constituency, held a meeting with adivasis of his Assembly constituency at Jangutai Temple in Pedana village, Padharkawada, on Friday. He sought their votes in the Assembly elections.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is slated to address a public meeting at Guggus in Rajura Assembly constituency on November 16.

Meanwhile, minister Ponguleti Srinivas, who was in Bhainsa in Nirmal district on his way to Hyderabad from Maharashtra, appealed to the people of the erstwhile Adilabad district to encourage their relatives and friends to vote for the Congress in the Assembly elections in the neighboring state. He stated that the people of Maharashtra would receive more benefits and welfare if the MVA alliance comes to power. He was addressing a party meeting at Mategoan village in Bhainsa mandal.

Congress leaders, including ministers, MPs, and MLAs of Telangana, have been campaigning in Rajura, Ballarpur, Arni, and Chandrapur Assembly constituencies in Maharashtra.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will address a public meeting as part of his election campaign at Guggus and Chandrapur in support of the party candidate Subhash Dhote.

Komaram Bheem Asifabad district DCC president K. Vishwaprasad stated that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will address a public meeting at Guggus, a prominent coal belt with a high population of Telugu people settled there for a long time.

He mentioned that many Telugu families migrated to coal areas in search of jobs in Chandrapur district and settled there. He observed that the high number of Telugu voters will play a vital role in the elections for the Rajura seat.

Wamanrao Sadashivarao Chatap, representing Shetkari Sangathan, is contesting in the Raju Assembly constituency and posing a tough fight to his rivals. Senior Congress leader from Adilabad, Atram Suguna, campaigned in Pedana village for Jithender Shivajirao Moge.
