As per the Telangana Statistical Abstract -2024 (TSA), released by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy and Rangareddy districts are the top 3 contributors to the state industrial GVA.
In terms of factories, the state accounted for 5.16 per cent of the total factories in the country, ranking eighth in the list. Within the state, the Medchal Malkajgiri district stood on top in the state with 23.5 per cent of factories.

In terms of industrial output, the three districts alone contribute 58.7 per cent, playing a key role in the state economy.
In terms of total fixed capital records available till 2021-22 and the resources allocated to setting up and improving industrial infrastructure, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts top in terms of the district-wise fixed capital in the state.
