Karimnagar: Karimnagar district collector Pamela Satpathy handed over a 10-year-old girl, a resident of Bala Sadan, to a childless couple from the district on adoption on Thursday. The adoption process was held in a programme at the collector’s chamber.
The couple had applied online at the Development of Women and Child Welfare’s website and completed all the legal procedures mandated by the government for adoption. After the procedures, the officials concerned initiated the adoption procedures.
Satpathy issued a certified copy of the adoption order and handed over the child in the presence of district welfare officer Saraswathi, project officer Tirupati, and Shishu Gruhu manager Tejaswi.
