Telangana Employees JAC announce one-day basic pay as contribution to CMRF

Hyderabad: The Telangana Employees JAC has on Tuesday announced a contribution of one day basic pay to the Chief Minister's relief fund (CMRF) as the state is reeling under devastating floods caused by the torrential rains.

Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Telangana Employees, Gazetted Officers, Teachers, Workers & Pensioners in a letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that the incessant rains have not just disrupted the normal life but also caused a great harm to lives. "Loss of farm produce, property loss and loss of livestock has also occurred. In this regard we have resolved to donate one day's basic pay to the Chief Minister's relief fund."
They have also requested the CM to add their one day basic pay from September's salary to Government exchequer.
It is estimated that the overall contribution of the JAC would be close to Rs 100 crore.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will be visiting flood-affected areas in Mahabubabad district on Tuesday, the second day of his tour to rain-hit places.
