Telangana film chamber urge members to donate for Sandhya stampede victim’s family
Hyderabad: Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce president, Sunil Narang, requested the members to donate to the chamber account details to help the family of a nine-year-old child Sritej, who is battling for life in a corporate hospital here after suffering injuries in Sandhya 70 MM theatre in Chikkadpally.
The boy suffered injuries in the stampede that took place during the screening of the Pushpa-2 premier show at the theatre on December 4. His mother Revathi died on the spot in the incident.
In a statement, Narang said the chamber members would stand with the child, who was hospitalized and fighting for his life. “As a gesture, we are planning to donate some amount to the boy’s family,” he said, making it clear that the donation was not mandatory and only a voluntary donation.
