Telangana Formation Day celebrations will be organized on grand note: CS
Hyderabad: Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari here on Monday said the State Formation Day celebrations would be organized in a spectacular manner at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on June 2.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will first pay floral tributes at Telangana Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park and later take part in the celebrations at Parade Grounds. At a high-level review meeting convened with senior officials, she said the Chief Minister would unveil the State song and later address the gathering.
A carnival would be organized on Tank Bund where artistes from different parts of the State will perform. A police band troupe with over 5,000 personnel will also perform on the occasion. Eighty stalls with handloom products would be set up on Tank Bund in addition to food stalls by popular hotels in the city.
As a large number of people would be attending the event, officials concerned must make elaborate arrangements for the convenience of the people. As children would be attending with their parents, separate sports and entertainment programs are being planned for them. The Election Commission of India (ECI) already gave permission to the State government to conduct the celebrations.
