Hyderabad: Congress leader Sonia Gandhi will remain absent from the Telangana Formation Day celebrations scheduled on June 2, due to health reasons.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had big plans to celebrate the Telangana Formation Day on June 2. He even flew to New Delhi and personally invited Sonia Gandhi for the celebrations.
Earlier, he said that he would invite and felicitate her at the event.
Now, with Sonia remaining absent at the celebrations, the Congress leaders in Telangana have pinned hopes on her son Rahul Gandhi, who could attend the programme.
