Telangana Govt. Committed to Empowering Women in State
Adilabad: Rural development minister Seethakka on Friday reiterated the state government’s commitment to empowering women and ensuring their self-reliance through initiatives like Indira Kranti Patham, bank linkages, and interest-free loans.
While distributing bank cheques to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Khanapur, Seethakka said the Congress government aimed to help women achieve financial prosperity by providing interest-free loans and loans at 25 per cent interest. The minister announced an allocation of Rs 20 crore for the construction of the Gangapur bridge and promised to sanction funds for the Kadam and Sadarmat projects.
Along with MLA Vedma Bojju, Seethakka inaugurated a gram panchayat building constructed at a cost of Rs 20 lakh in Sathenapalli. Collector Abhilasha Abhinav said that three new ambulances would be introduced and two doctors recruited to ensure medical treatment in interior areas of Nirmal district.
RDO Rathna Kalyani, panchayat officer Srinivas, Khanapur municipal chairman S. Rajula Satyam, and other officials were present at the event.
Earlier, Seethakka participated in celebrations marking the party’s first anniversary and attended party meetings in Bhainsa and Basar. Former MLA Vkittal Reddy, Narayana Rao Patel, Srihari Rao, and Sathu Mallesh were also present during the meetings.
