Telangana Govt. Picks Mancherial for New Industrial Hub and IT Park

Adilabad:Officials of the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) on Tuesday finalised a place in Mancherial district for setting up of an industrial hub and IT park.

Top TGIIC officials inspected a few places in Hazipur mandal and identified a patch of 292 acres between Vempalli and Pochampad villages in Hazipur mandal. The proposed site is 4 km from Mancherial town.

There are mango orchards in Nennel, Kotapalli, Vemanapalli, Jaipur, Bheemaram, Chennur and Tandoor mandals in Mancherial district. With large swathes of paddy and cotton cultivation in Mancherial, Adilabad and Nirmal districts, these districts have good potential for agro-based industries.

There is also a possibility for establishing egg powder food processing industries with a large number of poultries in Mancherial and its bordering Karimnagar and Peddapalli districts. Mancherial is connected with railways and bus services and has good road connectivity with bordering districts. . With industries like Jaipur power plants, Singareni and Yellampalli irrigation project nearby, there will be no dearth of power, coal and water in Mancherial.

Recently, a meeting took place in Mancherial town which was attended by TGIIC officials, local businessmen and prospective industrialists. It was also joined by local MLA K. Premsagar Rao, director of industries, Telangana Dr G. Malsur, TGIIC executive director Nikhil Chakrawarthy and collector Kumar Deepak.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is likely to visit Mancherial and announce the industrial hub and IT park. K. Premsagar Rao appealed to businessmen and industrialists to come forward and set up industries in the new hub.
