Telangana Govt. to Resolve Issues of Hospitals: Ponnam

KARIMNAGAR: The Congress government is ready to resolve the issues of government hospitals, said the Backward Classes welfare minister Ponnam Prabhakar after inspecting the government main hospital, along with the district collector Pamela Satpathy, here in Karimnagar on Monday.

Later speaking at the meeting held with the members of the hospital development committee, the minister ordered the municipal department officials to solve the drainage issue in the hospital within 15 days. When the hospital officials informed him about the requirement of 150 air conditioners in various wards, the minister assured them of providing them at the earliest.

He ordered the officials to purchase two new ambulance vehicles in place of old ones and also procure a sufficient quantity of medicine for supply to the poor patients. Necessary steps will be taken for the recruitment of the required staff if the officials provide details of vacant posts present in the hospital, he added.

Prabhakar ordered the officials to prepare proposals for an extra 100 beds and the primary requirements of the Mother and Child Health Care Centre. “Everyone should work in coordination for the development of the hospital and can collect donations from interested donors for the development of the hospital,” he added.
