Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has issued injunction orders in favour of the 160-year-old Mahbub Education Society in Secunderabad, and made it free of interference by the Venkat Narayana Education Society (VNES) in the activities of various schools ad colleges and attempts to take possession of the college premises and administration.
Justice T. Madhavi Devi issued the injunction orders against VNES, Dr. Rev. K.V.K. Rao and K. Sriharsha Shashank restraining them from interfering in the college administration and trespass into the premises of properties, including the Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology (SVIT), PG, degree and intermediate colleges and high school as well as the auditorium.
The judge was dealing with a petition filed by P.L. Srinivas, president of Mahbub College, who approached the High Court on Thursday, explaining the attempts of Rao, Shashank and their associates to take over the possession of the Mahbub College premises. They filed photographic evidence before the court that K.V.K. Rao and his men along with bouncers were barging into the college premises to take possession of the properties.
In view of the Dasara vacations for trial courts, Justice Madhavi Devi issued injunction orders in favour of Mahbub College and restraining the other side. The management of the Mahbub education institutions entered into an agreement with VNES in 2015, a society floated by Dr K. Anil Kumar, who urged K.V.K. Rao and his son Shashank to utilise the premises of the college to run educational activities of VNES. However, the terms of agreement had been violated, which led to legal issues.
During pendency of the court, Rao and his men attempted to take over the possession of the premises. The police also did not respond to complaints made by the managing committee of Mahbub educational institutions, following which they approached the High Court.
