Telangana: HC notice to Jangaon civic chief

As Venkateshwarlu did not respond, Madhusudhan filed a writ petition in HC. After pursuing the case, the court issued notice to the municipal commissioner asking him to be present before the court. It also directed the higher authorities to take action against the commissioner as per Municipal Act 2019

WARANGAL: The Telangana High Court issued notice to Jangaon municipal commissioner asking him to present himself before the court for his alleged negligence towards a complaint lodged by a resident pertaining to the encroachment of a land in Yeshwantpur revenue division here in Jangaon district.

Madhusudhan, a resident of Yeshwantpur village, lodged a complaint with municipal commissioner P. Venkateshwarlu alleging that some people encroached on government land in the survey number of 193/A/1 of Yellamma Gudi of Yeshwantpur revenue division and requested the commissioner to take immediate action against them.

As Venkateshwarlu did not respond, Madhusudhan filed a writ petition in HC. After pursuing the case, the court issued notice to the municipal commissioner asking him to be present before the court. It also directed the higher authorities to take action against the commissioner as per Municipal Act 2019.

Commissioner Venkateshwarlu said he did not receive any orders from the court. But as per the information received from higher authorities, he will meet the standing council to give his explanation.
