Telangana HC Stays All FIRs Against BRS Ex-MLA Narender Reddy

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Friday stayed all further proceedings in the multiple FIRs filed against BRS former MLA Patnam Narender Reddy at the Bommarasipet police station, except one in relation to the attack on the Vikarabad collector and revenue officials at Lagcharla.

Justice K. Lakshman of the High Court was dealing with a petition filed by Narender Reddy. The police had filed four FIRs filed on the incident at Lagcharla.

One FIR was registered on a complaint given by Bommarasipet constable Rathod Kanniah prior to the Lagcharla incident. Justice Lakshman, while hearing this case, summoned the investigating officer to the court and asked him whether or not petitioner Narender Reddy was accused.

When the court was informed he was not, the judge questioned the investigating team for linking the case to Narender Reddy. The judge then directed the state government to file its counter-affidavit.
