Telangana HC Summons Co-op Commissioner Over Non-compliance
Hyderabad:The Telangana High Court on Friday summoned the commissioner of co-operation and registrar of the co-operative societies, for non-compliance of the court orders in submitting an inquiry report , which had been prepared on the allegations regarding the executive committee of the Jubilee Hills Co-operative House Building Society.
Justice C.V. Bhaskar Reddy expressed anger against officers for not paying attention to court orders and directed the commissioner to appear before the court on September 27.
The judge was dealing with a contempt case filed by A. Murali Mukund, ex- secretary of the society, for not complying with the court orders in the petition filed by him seeking action against the past and present executive committees of the society which is headed by Bollineni Ravindranath and others for allegedly transferring its properties. Based on the allegations, the co-operative societies department conducted an inquiry, but action was not initiated.
When this was challenged before the High Court by Murali Mukund, the High Court , on April 16, had directed the commissioner of the co-operation department to furnish the copy of the inquiry report before the court within two weeks. As the orders had not been complied with, a contempt case was filed in which the judge issued summons to the commissioner.
