Telangana HC summons HYDRAA official for ignoring court guidelines

Most petitions flooding the court are about the highhandedness of HYDRAA officials

HYDERABAD: Expressing concern at the highhanded behaviour of HYDRAA and its abuse of authority and violating court guidelines in demolishing buildings on holidays and giving only a notice period of 24 hours to the people, the Telangana High Court summoned HYDRAA inspector to appear before it.

Justice K. Lakshman of the High Court issued orders for the appearance of Rajasekhar, the inspector, before it on February 20 and explain the grounds for the demolition of several buildings in Muthangi of Sangareddy district on a holiday and only giving one day to the house owners to furnish the relevant documents.

The judge was dealing with a petition filed by one Alagari Praveen regarding demolition of tiny sheds over a land admeasuring Ac.0.0350 guntas in Sy.No.296/E/2 situated in Muthangi village, Patancheru mandal. In spite of having nala conversion approval from the tahsildar and having permission letters for going about constructions in the said place, the HYDRAA demolished the sheds on Sunday.
