Telangana Health Minister Sanctions Construction of Nursing Hospital
Hyderabad: Health minister Damodar Rajanarasimha has sanctioned the release of Rs 43 crore for the development of a nursing college in Andole in Jogipet municipality of Sangareddy district. The Directorate of Medical Education had earlier submitted a proposal to the government for the same.
The Government Nursing College will be affiliated to the Dr Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, and will offer a four-year BSc (Nursing) degree course, with an intake of 60 students. It will also need a clearance from the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
Rajanarasimha in a post on X (formerly Twitter) announced the release of funds for the college's non-recurring expenditure towards civil works, purchase of equipment and furniture which will be handled by the Telangana Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation. Government Order Ms No. 15 issued by gealth secretary Christina Chongthu mentioned that the government had given an essentiality certificate to the DME for the college.
