Telangana Invites Minority Students for Overseas Scholarship Scheme 2026
Under the scheme, selected candidates will be granted financial support of up to ₹20 lakh, along with a one-way airfare of ₹60,000 or the actual ticket cost, whichever is lower.

Hyderabad: The state government has invited applications for the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities for the Spring Season 2026, offering financial assistance to eligible students pursuing higher education abroad.
According to the Minorities Welfare Department, minority students who have secured admission in postgraduate and Ph.D. courses in foreign universities across countries including the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Japan, France, and New Zealand are eligible to apply.
Under the scheme, selected candidates will be granted financial support of up to ₹20 lakh, along with a one-way airfare of ₹60,000 or the actual ticket cost, whichever is lower.
Online applications will be accepted from June 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026, until 5:00 PM through the official portal. Authorities stated that the scheme applies to students who have obtained admission between January 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026.
Officials also cautioned that all certificates submitted will undergo verification, and strict action will be taken against candidates found submitting fake documents. Applicants are required to produce original academic transcripts, and parents must be present during document submission at the concerned district offices.
The department has urged eligible candidates to apply within the stipulated timeline to avail the benefits under the scheme.
