Telangana IPS Officers’ Association condemns KTR’s allegations

HYDERABAD: The Telangana IPS Officers’ Association and IAS Officers' Association on Thursday condemned the derogatory and baseless allegations made against a serving civil servant, the Sircilla district collector, by Sircilla legislator K.T. Rama Rao, the BRS working president, and for questioning the official’s integrity and impartiality.

In a statement on Thursday, the IAS Officer's Association said that the collector was personally targeted and belittled in a manner that undermined the dignity of an officer holding such a high position in the state's administration.

The association sought an apology from Rama Rao, a former minister, for making such derogatory remarks.

The IPS Officers' Association said: "The remarks were a direct affront to the principles of governance and the constitutional mandate under which civil servants operate. Unwarranted attacks of this nature are both irresponsible and detrimental to democratic institutions."

The association called for an immediate cessation of such unfounded accusations and urged all stakeholders to engage in discourse that respects institutional integrity and the rule of law.
