Telangana launches 112 electric buses in Hanamkonda
Hanamkonda: Telangana minister Ponnam Prabhakar, along with other state ministers and local leaders, inaugurated a fleet of 112 electric buses at Hayagreeva Chary Ground in Hanamkonda. The event was organised by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC).
Minister Prabhakar highlighted the success of the Mahalakshmi scheme, which provides free bus travel for women, emphasising its contribution to women's empowerment and the state's economy. He reiterated the government's commitment to improving infrastructure and providing basic amenities to the people.
Responding to criticism from the opposition, minister Prabhakar stated that the previous government had failed to provide adequate infrastructure and that the current government is dedicated to the welfare of the people.
Furthermore, the minister announced plans to distribute new ration cards, pensions, and implement the Indira Rythu Bharosa scheme across the state after the Sankranti festival.
The launch of these electric buses marks a significant step towards promoting sustainable transportation and enhancing public services in Telangana.
