Nizamabad: A 24-year-old man, identified as Sunil, tragically died by suicide in Kumargally, Nizamabad, on Tuesday. According to reports, he was unable to cope with the stress of police questioning following a complaint lodged against him.
Two days ago, the family members of a woman filed a complaint with III Town police, alleging that Sunil had been harassing her under the guise of love.
On Monday, the police took him to the station for questioning. Sunil was released from police custody on personal bond Monday night. However, he was found dead in his general store in Kumargally the following day.
Police authorities stated that Sunil's suicide was likely a result of the harassment complaint filed against him. However, the deceased’s family members have accused the police of high-handedness, claiming that their actions led to his tragic demise. They have filed a complaint with I Town police station in this regard.The body has been shifted to the Government General Hospital in Nizamabad for a post-mortem examination. Police are currently investigating the incident.
