Karimnagar: A 27-year-old youth stranded in Saudi Arabia was rescued by the government chief whip and Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas and arrangements are being made to bring him back to his native place.
Two months back, Imran, a resident of Sircilla town, went to Saudi Arabia to work at a supermarket. He underwent a surgery 15 days back, but did not get relief.
Imran urged the owner of the supermarket to send him back to India as he was suffering from severe illness. However, the owner started torturing him.
Imran took out a video explaining his problems and posted it on social media seeking someone to rescue him.
After seeing the video, government chief whip Aadi Srinivas took the issue to the Indian embassy through Telangana government and contacted his friend Baira Deva Yadav who was also staying in Saudi Arabia to help Imran.
Baira Deva held talks with the owner of the supermarket and the officials concerned in Saudi Arabia. He arranged for his return journey to India by booking plane tickets and gave him financial aid. Iman will reach Sircilla town within three days.
Imran thanked Telangana government, Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas and NRI Baira Deva for extending their cooperation and rescuing him from Saudi Arabia.
