Telangana: MLC Election Campaign Intensifies

Candidates for the Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak MLC polls ramp up campaigns, targeting graduates through posters, calls, and outreach.

Nizamabad: Contesting candidates for the Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak graduates MLC constituency have intensified their election campaigns following the completion of the nomination process. Major parties, including the ruling Congress and the BJP, along with several independents, have launched aggressive efforts across the four districts. Congress candidate V. Narender Reddy and BJP nominee C. Anji Reddy are among the leading contenders.

Campaign teams are setting up flexi boards, and posters, and deploying tele-callers to target graduate voters in key towns and mandal headquarters. Candidates are also canvassing educational institutions and community organisations to build support. Promising assistance to unemployed youths, they are trying to broaden their appeal among the electorate.

Both Congress and BJP leaders are actively participating in the campaign, making whirlwind tours across undivided Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad, and Medak districts. Some candidates have even deployed their own personnel to coordinate efforts across these regions.

Political analyst Madhusudan, speaking to Deccan Chronicle, noted that while some candidates are relying on strong party backing, others are banking on personal appeal to secure votes. He also highlighted that many independents are testing their luck in this contest.
