Kamareddy: A mother and her 24-year-old son on Sunday died when a speeding lorry coming from Nagpur route hit their car from rear near Rameshwarnagar in Bhiknoor mandal on NH 44.
Laxmi, 50 and Akshay, 24 of Teachers’ Colony in Banswada town died on the spot.
Rajeshwar Reddy and Bhumavva sitting in the car sustained serious injuries. Rajeshwar Reddy’s family members were travelling to Hyderabad from Banswada.
As the car reached Church Gate area on NH-44, a speeding lorry hit their vehicle from rear. The injured were shifted to Hyderabad for medical treatment.
Bhiknoor police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to government hospital in Kamareddy.
