TG Police to Get Swanky Sports Facility

Hyderabad: Boxer Nikhat Zareen and cricketer Mohammed Siraj were made deputy superintendents of police as sportspersons should be rewarded for international success. To carry this forward, boxing and cricket coaching centers will be set up by the Telangana State Special Police (TGSP) to train athletes from the police forces, Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender on Friday.

Speaking at the passing out parade for new constables at the First Battalion in Yousufguda, Dr Jitender said specialised training centers will help athletes reach success at the international level.

Among the 4,077 newly trained constables, 2,746 are graduates, 596 postgraduates, and 62 ex-servicemen. This marks the largest training exercise conducted by the department to date.

Jitender praised TGSP personnel for their contributions to maintaining law and order within the state and also in other states. He added that trained personnel would be deployed to curb drug trafficking and control cybercrime.

He encouraged the new recruits to work with dedication and bring pride to their families and the police department.

TGSP additional DGP Sanjay Kumar Jain urged the recruits to uphold discipline and integrity in their service.
