Telangana attracted Rs 1.82L cr investments at WEF: Revanth

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the state government had attracted investments worth ₹1.82 lakh crore during his recent visits to Singapore and the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos. These investments will generate over 51,000 jobs and further establish Hyderabad as a global business hub, he said.
"The investments we have secured reflect the strong confidence international companies have in Telangana's governance and its pro-business policies," the Chief Minister said at a press conference at the Secretariat on Tuesday. He added that the successful outcome of the Davos summit have debunked Opposition parties' claims of a poor investment climate.
“Our focus is to make Telangana a one-trillion-dollar economy. These investments are a key milestone in achieving that goal,” Revanth Reddy remarked, thanking the companies that committed to Telangana's growth. He also promised swift land allocation and comprehensive support for investors.
Revanth Reddy highlighted that the Congress-led government had far outpaced the previous BRS government in attracting foreign investment. He presented statistics showing that while the BRS government brought in ₹25,750 crore through Davos summits over a decade, the Congress government secured ₹2.19 lakh crore in just two summits.
The Chief Minister took a swipe at the opposition BRS, accusing its leaders of attempting to sabotage Telangana’s development by spreading misinformation about the investment climate. Revanth Reddy took a dig at BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, alleging that he suffered from "attention-seeking disorder."
"People with this disorder crave the spotlight in any situation," quipped Revanth Reddy. "KTR is spreading false propaganda about the Davos MoUs instead of congratulating us on our success. Such behavior reflects jealousy, not statesmanship."
The CM also criticised the BRS for allegedly misusing public funds under the guise of events like the Formula E car race, accusing them of diverting money overseas and falsely claiming it as foreign investment.
Revanth Reddy said that the partnership with a Singapore-based technology company, ITE, would enhance technological innovation in Telangana. Additionally, an MoU was signed with the Singapore government for collaboration with Telangana Skill University, which the CM hailed as a "game-changer" for the state’s workforce.
"Our pro-growth policies and initiatives, such as the state’s first-ever energy policy, have made Telangana an attractive destination for investors in Davos," he said.
Calling for unity across political lines, the Chief Minister said that the development of Telangana should rise above partisan politics. “We need to work together to achieve progress for our state. Political differences should not hinder our shared goal of building a prosperous Telangana,” he said.
