Nizamabad: A sports meet for differently-abled children and elders was held here on Thursday, organised by the district women, child, elderly, and differently-abled persons department. Events included tricycle races, running, chess, carrom, and shot put. Participants included students from Sneha Society for Rural Reconstruction, AP Forum, Gracie Organisation, and institutions for the blind, deaf, and differently-abled.
Additional collector Ankith inaugurated the event. Students from Bhavitha centres, government hostels, and other institutions also took part. District welfare officer S.K. Rasool Bi, committee member Rajanna, Sneha society secretary S. Siddaiah, principal Jyothi, AP forum secretary Ramesh, Swaroopa, Gracie Organisation president Shobha, and others were present.
