Telangana State Realized Due to Collective Efforts of All Sections: Ponnam

Warangal: The closing ceremony of the decennial Telangana Formation Day celebrations was held on a grand note under the leadership of Warangal West MLA Naini Rajendar Reddy in Hanamkonda on Monday. The family members of statehood martyrs and activists from various fields were felicitated at a programme held here.

Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, D. Anasuya Seethakka, CM chief advisor Vem Narendar Reddy, former MP Madhu Yashki Goud, finance commission chairman Sircilla Rajaiah, MLAs Vivek and Vinod Venkataswamy, Gandra Satyanarayana, Yasheswini Reddy, Anjan Kumar Yadav and Prof. Kondandaram attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the dream of separate Telangana was realized by the collective efforts put in by all sections of the people.

The people of Telangana would not forget the crucial role and the fight of 12 MPs of Congress when the Telangana Bill was tabled in the Parliament, against all odds.

The people were feeling self-respect with the formation of the Congress government in the state after 10 years of the formation of Telangana state and the good governance under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, he said.

As per the Congress election manifesto, the state government would keep its promise of a `25,00 pension along with the allocation of 250 yards of land for Telangana movement activists and a job to the next to the kin of Telangana martyrs, he assured.
