Telangana: Stray Dogs Eat Septuagenarian Mother After Killing Her
Karimnagar: In a horrifying incident, a pack of stray dogs killed a 75-year-old woman and ate parts of her body in Sevalal thanda of Mustabad mandal, Rajanna Sircilla district on Thursday.
The victim identified as Pitla Rajya Lakshmi was living with her two sons. She was seriously ill and was confined to her bed. Rajya Lakshmi's sons shifted her to a room near their house and used to take care of her.
On Wednesday night after serving food to Rajya Lakshmi, her sons along with other family members went to sleep but forgot to close the room doors.
At midnight the pack of dogs entered her room. After killing Rajya Lakshmi with a bite on her neck, they ate her body parts.
The next morning her sons found the body. Along with locals, the sons attacked stray dogs in the area and killed one of them.
Police officials sent the body for post-mortem examination and registered a case.
The locals urged municipal officials to take immediate steps against stray dogs, especially mad dogs that are terrifying the people and spreading rabies.
This is the second such shocking incident that is coming out of erstwhile Karimnagar district. A week back stray dogs bit 25 people in Huzurabad town.
