Hyderabad: A 26-year-old man from Mahbubnagar district in Telangana died of unexplained medical reasons in the United States on June 19. The victim, Arun Sai Reddy Bollendula, who had travelled to the US to pursue higher education and build a career, died in Tampa, Florida.

According to information shared by the North America Telugu Society (NATS) Helpline through a fundraising campaign, Bollendula was living in Florida on STEM Optional Practical Training (OPT), and was searching for a full-time job. He had moved abroad hoping to secure a better future for himself and support his family.

He was the only son of B. Venkat Reddy and Sarala Reddy. Family members described him as a caring son, a loving brother and a young man with strong ambitions.

To support the family, NATS Helpline launched a GoFundMe campaign, stating that funds will be used for the repatriation of Arun's mortal remains to India, funeral and memorial arrangements, and financial assistance for his parents. More than $23,000 has been raised on the fundraiser.
