Telangana Team Studies AP NRI Grievance System
The visit is aimed at understanding the systems adopted by Andhra Pradesh for grievance redressal and implementation of welfare measures for Non-Resident Indians and Gulf migrant workers.

VIJAYAWADA: A delegation from the Telangana government’s NRI Advisory Committee on Thursday visited the Andhra Pradesh CID headquarters to study welfare initiatives and grievance redressal systems for NRIs and Gulf migrant workers.
The visit was part of a study tour initiated by the Telangana government to understand the systems developed by Andhra Pradesh for the protection and welfare of overseas Telugu people.
The delegation focused on rescue operations, repatriation procedures, grievance handling and support mechanisms for migrant workers, particularly those employed in Gulf countries.
During the visit, the team toured the APNRT Society office, OMCAP office and the NRI Cell functioning under the CID. The delegation also interacted with Andhra Pradesh minister for NRI affairs and senior officials regarding welfare measures and institutional support being extended to NRIs and migrant workers.
The delegation was led by Dr B.M. Vinod Kumar, retired IFS officer and chairman of the Telangana State Government NRI Advisory Committee.
Among those present were vice-chairman Manda Bheem Reddy, Nizamabad Rural MLA Dr R. Bhupathi Reddy, Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam and former MLA Eravathri Anil.
The 14-member delegation held detailed discussions with CID director general of police Dr A. Ravishankar and officials of the NRI Cell on grievance redressal procedures and inter-state coordination in handling overseas worker-related issues.
Dr K.V. Srinivasa Rao, superintendent of police, NRI Cell, along with other CID officials, also participated in the meeting.
Officials said the interaction helped facilitate the exchange of best practices between the two Telugu states and would strengthen cooperation in implementing welfare measures for NRIs and migrant workers.
