Telangana to Use Family Data for Targeted Welfare by New Year
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to analyse vast amounts of data collected during the enumeration of families across the state to get a better insight into people’s requirements, and as a result, design appropriate schemes for them.
Officials completed the enumeration process by collecting details of at least 1.13 crore family members across the state. Apart from caste census, the staff also collected the data of people’s economic status and social amenities.
Data analysis involves segregating raw information under various categories to understand the macro picture of the situation.
Based on the data, the state government, which is implementing Six Guarantees, is all set to identify the eligible candidates and provide them with better social benefits from the New Year.
The government is utilising the latest software to analyse data. The data would also allow the government to know the number of people from backward class communities and their sub castes, their financial status, among others.
Similarly, the data would also help the officials prepare a comprehensive assessment of those living below the poverty line.
This data will help the poor to get the government's benefits. The government is also focused on welfare measures designed for farmers, women, and old-age people including the students.
