Hyderabad: The Telangana tourism department ushered in the New Year with its new logo, depicting the Kakatiya Kala Thoranam, accompanied with a tag 'Telangana --Zarur Aana'.

The logo is impressive with an energetic and enlivening spirit.

The majestic Kakatiya arch in blue encompassing the rising sun in yellow between two hills in green signals the scenic beauty one can expect at various tourist places in the state.

At the same time, the Kakatiya arch showcases the rich cultural heritage of Telangana, reminding one of the great rulers who established their sovereignty over vast areas of the Telugu region between 1150 AD and

1323 AD.

The term 'Kakatiya' is derived from the name of the deity 'kakati' whom the rulers worshipped.

Through 'Zarur Aana', the tourism officials issue a heart-warming invitation to pilgrims and tourists, asking them to explore and experience the beauty and vibes of the scenic landscapes and majestic temples.

The new logo reflects the freshness and vivacity the state can offer to the tourists.
