Telangana urges MEA to bring Sowmya’s mortal remains to native place in Yadagirigutta soon

Hyderabad: Telangana government here on Tuesday sent a wireless message to the Indian Embassy in Washington DC, USA to coordinate with officials concerned for getting the mortal remains of G Sowmya, who died in a road accident on May 26 in US, to her native place in New Colony in Yadagirigutta at the earliest.

In the message, Telangana Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari said Sowmya went to Florida to pursue a Masters Degree in Atlantic University. The girl was residing in Military TRI apartments, Florida.

The Chief Secretary urged the Indian Embassy in Washington DC to coordinate with the local and university authorities to fulfill all formalities for getting mortal remains of Soumya from Florida to her native place early. A request was also made to the Ministry of External and Overseas Indian Affairs (MEA) to pursue the matter with the Embassy of India in Washington DC.
