Nizamabad: Former minister and Bodhan MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy on Friday said farmers who get irrigation water from Alisagar must use water judiciously as there is poor flow in the river Godavari.
The legislator said all eligible farmers will get the Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver. The farmers should submit their applications to the officials to resolve loan waiver-related problems. Sudarshan Reddy warned that action will be taken if irregularities come to the fore in primary agriculture cooperative societies.
Reddy along with district collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu released water from Alisagar lift irrigation scheme at Kosli pump house in Navipet mandal on Friday, and said the government was trying to protect the interests of farmers.
He directed police and Transco officials to be vigilant over theft of copper coils from transformers. Telangana Urdu Academy chairperson Taher Bin Hamdan, irrigation department superintendent engineer Gangadhar, assistant engineer Pranay and others were present.
