Karimnagar: Elaborate arrangements are underway at Sri Mahashakti Temple in Chaitanyapuri Colony for the Vasanta Panchami celebrations on February 3. The temple has been beautifully decorated in preparation for the festival, which is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge and learning.
A key highlight of the event will be the special Aksharabhyasam ritual, where children will begin their journey into writing under divine blessings. The temple, unique for enshrining Maha Durga, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati, is set to host grand rituals and pujas.
Temple officials, after receiving blessings from Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya and Hampi Virupaksha Vidyaranya Peetadhipathi Sri Vidyaranya Bharathi Swamy, have finalised the arrangements. Priests emphasised that Vasanta Panchami marks the birth of Goddess Saraswati, making it an auspicious day for seeking wisdom, prosperity, and success. Devotees are encouraged to offer prayers on this special occasion.
