Hyderabad: A 28-year-old tent house worker was kidnapped and brutally murdered on the Musi river beds. The assailants Friday night kidnapped the victim Mohammed Nabi on a bike from his house in Bapunagar Amberpet took him to Musi river where they stabbed him multiple times with a dagger, later smashed his head with a boulder and fled the scene, Uppal police said.

The victim and accused are reported to be relatives. Nabi was a prime accused in murdering his grandfather over alleged family disputes, police said.

Police suspect that his cousin Zakir and other two assailants to be prime suspects in the pre planned murder.

We have formed a special team and are going through CCTV cameras installed at Bapunager to identify the assailants, SHO Uppal Election Reddy said.

It is reported that three suspects have been identified through their vehicle registration number and are reportedly taken into custody for questioning.

Victim’s body has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital and after the postmortem handed over to his family members for last rites.
