Complement, don’t compete, Revanth tells TG, AP Telugus

Hyderabad: Recalling the stellar services of eminent sons of the soil like Neelam Sanjeev Reddy, N.T. Rama Rao and S. Jaipal Reddy and their role in national politics, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday felt that the two Telugu states should complement and not compete against one another in terms of development.

He said that the two states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, should evolve a mechanism whereupon they can resolve issues amicably.

Addressing the (WTF) World Telugu Federation’s 12th biennial conference here on Sunday, Reddy said that NTR had inaugurated the WTF 30 years back and he felt privileged to attend the federation’s meeting as a Chief Minister.

In its bid to promote Telugu language and protect the rich Telugu culture and traditions, the state government is set to release government orders in Telugu so that the common man can also read and understand them, he said. He said that the courts would shortly start issuing judgements in Telugu, the second-largest spoken language in the country after Hindi.

He pointed out that as the present generation and their parents were only focusing on other languages, there was a compelling need to protect Telugu language, which can be achieved by conducting a number of meetings like those organised by the WTF.

The Chief Minister called upon Telugu industrialists to invest in Hyderabad to help develop Telangana. The state government is creating a future city for which it is inviting businessmen from across the globe to make use of these facilities. Towards this, the state government will clear all permissions by setting up a single window system in the state.

Hyderabad was the best investment destination as it has put in place an international airport, Outer Ring Road and a unique transportation system, while a Regional Ring Road (RRR) is in the offing.
