TGJAC demands stern action against those involved in Vikarabad incident

Hyderabad: The members of Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee (TGJAC) here on Thursday demanded that the State government take stringent action against those responsible for the attack on Vikarabad Collector Prateek Jain and others at Lagcherla village in the district on Monday.

Irate employees led by JAC Chairman V Lachi Reddy staged a protest in front of the office of Hyderabad Collectorate today demanding that the State government initiate action against the attackers in spite of their political affiliation.

The State government must take necessary measures to prevent such incidents from reoccur in future, Reddy said. On Monday, Prateek Jain along with Additional Collector Revenue Vikarabad district Lingya Naik, Kodangal Area Development Authority Special Officer K Venkat Reddy and other revenue staff went to Lagcherla village at Dudyal mandal of Vikarabad district for seeking public opinion to initiate land acquisition process for proposed pharma city announced by the State government but a few villagers attacked them.

Reddy and other JAC members later met Hyderabad Collector Anudeep Durishetty and submitted a memorandum seeking action against the attackers.
