TGMFC Plans New Welfare Measures for Minority Women

Hyderabad: The Telangana Minorities Finance Corporation (TGMFC) has introduced new welfare initiatives aimed at empowering the minority communities, with a total amount of Rs.33.64 crore. Applications for one component of the scheme can be filed from December 13.

Under Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana, the government introduced financial assistance of Rs.50,000 for 5,000 beneficiaries for setting up petty business units with 100 per cent subsidy, with an expenditure of Rs.25 crore, during the year 2024-25 in all districts.

The government has planned to provide 10,490 free domestic sewing machines through ‘Indiramma Mahila Shakthi” scheme under Training, Employment and Placement Scheme.

The government also plans to assist 138 minority families residing in the dwelling units of Musi riverbed in Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal districts by providing Rs.2 lakh each under the special livelihood project through subsidy loans for providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to families.

Eligible women from the minority communities can apply for sewing machines through the official TGBMMS web portal (www.tgbmms.cgg.gov.in) from December 13 to 31. After submitting an online application, a copy of application and necessary documents to be submitted at the district minority welfare office in respective districts.
